The Susan Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1982 on a promise made between two sisters Đ Susan Goodman Komen and Nancy Goodman Brinker. More than 20 years later, the Komen Foundation is a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. Working through a network of U.S. and international Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure¨, the Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. Juvenile Diabetes

JDRF is the world's largest charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research, and was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes - a disease that strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.
